Privacy policy

Buzd respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Buzd app and website, why we use it and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create or update an account, such as your name, email address, phone number, profile details, date of birth, city and profile image. We also collect activity, challenge, social and message content that you choose to add in the app.

With your permission, Buzd may read fitness and activity data from your device health service or a connected service such as Strava. The data used depends on the permissions you grant and may include steps, distance, workouts and calories.

When you use location based features, we may collect precise location data to show relevant maps, challenges and participating venues. We collect purchase and account records needed to provide subscriptions, rewards and support.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, run challenges, display progress and rankings, provide customer support, process subscriptions and rewards, improve the app and meet legal obligations.

Sharing information

We use service providers that help us operate Buzd, including Firebase for account, database and file services, RevenueCat for subscription management, Apple and Google for in app purchases, and Strava when you choose to connect your account. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross app advertising tracking.

Your choices

You can manage connected services and device permissions in your device settings or within Buzd where available. You may request access, correction or deletion of your account information by contacting us. Some information must be retained where required for security, transactions or legal reasons.

Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when Buzd changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
